Mission     ♦     Purpose     ♦     Beliefs & Doctrine

Our Mission

To serve, teach, train and strengthen Christian character and conduct within our church and community.

Purpose, Aims & Objectives

The purpose of our Church is to practice, teach, and share the gospel of Jesus Christ our Lord.  We believe that the living of God’s Word should be part of our everyday activity, and our lifestyle should be a living witness to others.  The Bible is the moral standard by which we live, and those moral standards should be evident to the community as we help those around us.  We encourage regular attendance in church and participation in church activities as a family to establish a strong Christian foundation for our children.

Fundamental Beliefs & Doctrine

In the name of God, we declare and confess before all men the following articles of our belief:
  1. We believe in the only true God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; that these three are one -- the Father in the Son, the Son in the Father, and the Holy Spirit, equal in being with the Father and the Son.
  2. We believe that God created the heavens and the earth and all that is in them.  We believe that He created mankind in His image with a mind and a will of his own giving him the freedom of choice.
  3. We believe in Jesus Christ and that He is the Son of God. He became incarnate by the power of the Holy Spirit and was born of the Virgin Mary. He is the Savior and mediator of all mankind everywhere for all time if we with full faith accept and follow Him.  We believe that Jesus suffered and died upon a cross for us; was buried, rose again on the third day, ascended into Heaven, sits at the right hand of God to intercede for us, and will come again at the last day to judge the living and the dead.  We worship a living Savior.
  4. We believe in the Holy Spirit and that He is equal in being with the Father and the Son. He convinces the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He comforts the believer and guides him into all truth.
  5. We believe that the Holy Bible, Old and New Testaments, is the Divine word of God, and that it reveals the only true way to salvation. We believe that the writers were divinely inspired of God and that its teachings are just as applicable today as they were when they were written. We believe that God’s Word alone tells us how to face today’s problems, points out the way to successful and purposeful living, and gives us courage for today and hope for tomorrow.
  6. We believe in a Holy Christian Church composed of believers in which the Word of God is preached and practiced.  The center of the church is Jesus Christ.  The Church is for the maintenance of regular and reverent worship.  Our church is open to all who seek refuge in Jesus Christ from their daily problems and is dedicated to the conversion of the world to Jesus Christ.  We encourage our members to use their talents for the glory of God.
  7. We believe that the ordinances of baptism and Holy Communion were ordained by Jesus Christ and should be practiced by all believers.  The modes of baptism and the manner of observing the Lord’s Supper should be left to the judgment and understanding of each individual.
  8. We believe that each person must establish their own personal relationship with God. Participating in regular group Bible studies and individual home study and prayer enables us to know God through the Holy Spirit and allows him to reveal His will to us. We believe we cannot be saved by works alone.
  9. We believe that God has so ordained, in His plan of life, a hereafter for everyone.  However, it is up to us as to where we will spend it.  We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the future judgment, and an eternal state of rewards in which the righteous dwell in endless life and the wicked in endless punishment.
  10. We believe that all of the blessings and benefits that we enjoy are gifts from God. Without God, we would not have anything that we have today. Good stewardship is the proper use of what God has given us.
  11. We believe in the power of prayer.  We believe that God hears and answers our prayers when our hearts are tuned to His will.  We encourage our people to pray continuously and regularly.
